Tracy Morgan purchased another N.J. home in 2015 for $ 13.9 million.
After buying a $ 13.9 million Alpine mansion in 2015, comedian and actor Tracy Morgan is now offloading his other New Jersey home.
The 4,485-square-foot home on a 6-acre preserve in Cresskill first went on the market in May for $ 2.25 million before the listing price was slashed to just under $ 2 million earlier this week, according to its Zillow listing.
NorthJersey.com first reported the home was on the market last week.
Built in 1982, the contemporary home has six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The home opens up to vaulted ceilings throughout the main living areas.
According to the listing, the gourmet kitchen was recently redesigned and now has custom cabinetry, granite countertops and high-end appliances.
The second level of the home has the master suite, which features a luxury bathroom, three additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
The home’s affluent amenities are situated in the basement. This includes a wine cellar, a large recreation room, a sauna, and an additional bedroom and bathroom. There is also a pool on the property.
Property taxes were $ 51,802 in 2017. According to property records, the home was last assessed at $ 2.1 million.
Morgan, who grew up in Brooklyn, is most well-known as a stand-up comedian and for his roles on “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock.” Morgan bought the costly Alpine home in August 2015, shortly after marrying his longtime girlfriend, Megan Wollover. The couple have a daughter together.
All of this comes on the heels of a near-death experience after a Walmart truck crashed into Morgan’s limousine on the New Jersey Turnpike in 2014. The crash killed James McNair, Morgan’s close friend. Morgan suffered serious injuries and has openly talked about his suicidal thoughts after the wreck.
After a long road to recovery, Morgan’s latest role is as the lead actor in “The Last O.G.,” a TBS comedy.
