The call came into the school's Woodland Park campus.
A bomb threat at a Berkeley College led the cancellation of classes on its New Jersey campuses on Friday morning, though classes have since resumed, authorities said.
Classes at the school’s campuses in New Jersey and New York were canceled due to an emergency, the school posted on Facebook just after 9 a.m.
By 11:30 a.m., the campuses had resumed operations, according to Illene Greenfield, a spokeswoman for the college. She did not have further information about the incident.
The call came into the college’s Woodland Park campus, said Lt. John Uzzalino, a spokesman for the Woodland Park Police Department. It wasn’t clear if the threat was intended for that campus, he said, because callers who dial the college’s number are rerouted to the first available line.
“He just said there’s a bomb on your campus,” Uzzalino said. “We don’t know which one he intended.”
The campus was checked and cleared of the threat. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Berkeley College has New Jersey campuses in Woodbridge, Newark, Paramus and Woodland Park.
