Domestic battery charge dropped against ‘Jersey Shore’ star’s ex-girlfriend

Jen Harley, the mother of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's infant daughter, was alleged to have dragged the 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' star from her car during a fight in Las Vegas, with their baby riding in the backseat.

A domestic battery charge has been dropped against Jen Harley, the ex-girlfriend of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro because of a lack of evidence, People reports.

Harley, 31, pictured pregnant in the Instagram post below, welcomed baby daughter Ariana Sky with Ortiz-Magro, 32, in April. It was the same week the “Jersey Shore” revival premiered on MTV.

She had been charged in Las Vegas, where they live, following allegations that she hit Ortiz-Magro in the face and dragged him from her car on June 24 after he asked to get out of the vehicle. TMZ first reported her arrest.

At the time of the alleged incident, their baby was reportedly in the backseat of the car. Ortiz-Magro and Harley had reportedly been driving back from a barbecue.

Harley was released from the Clark County Detention Center the next day after posting $ 3,000 bail, People reported.

An unnamed source told People that Ortiz-Magro had been screaming at Harley to stop the car, and that she allegedly hit a median and got a flat tire before he asked to get out. She was accused of continuing to drive the car when he was getting out, injuring Ortiz-Magro’s arm, the source said.

In April, a fight between Ortiz-Magro and Harley was captured live on social media, after which the couple was said to have broken up.

One plot point of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” involves Ortiz-Magro cheating on Harley with a woman he brings home from a club in Miami. Later, he tells several cast members that Harley had previously cheated on him. He also expresses heavy doubts about staying in a relationship with Harley despite the fact that she is about to give birth to their child.

“Jersey Shore” cast members have said that the drama between Harley and Ortiz-Magro would be chronicled in the second season of the show, set in Las Vegas.

In fact, during filming in June, People reported that police responded when Harley and Ortiz-Magro got in a fight over the death of Harley’s dog at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Police claimed that Harley hit Ortiz-Magro and he alleged that she spit on him. But Harley, who reportedly blamed Ortiz-Magro for the drowning death of her dog, denied getting physical with her ex.

Before he was making headlines for his fights with Harley, Ortiz-Magro was known for his volatile on-again, off-again relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola on the original “Jersey Shore.” Giancola was absent from the series revival.
