Rapper Fabolous charged in alleged domestic violence incident

The rapper lives in Englewood with his longtime girlfriend, "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Emily B, though police did not say who reported the alleged incident.

Rapper Fabolous turned himself in to police in Englewood on Wednesday after he was reported for an alleged incident involving domestic violence, the Associated Press reports. 

Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, lives in the Bergen County city with his longtime girlfriend, stylist Emily B, whose full name is Emily Bustamante. She is a former star of the VH1 reality series “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

The 40-year-old rapper was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats and released the same night. 

Jackson posted a message on Instagram, accompanied by a broken heart emoji: “2018 tryna break my heart.”

In 2011, on the reality series (see clip below), Bustamante, has who worked with her significant other as a stylist, spoke about her relationship with Jackson, saying she had issues with him not acknowledging her publicly or talking about her as the mother of his child. She said they had been together since 2002.
